  • My tenants hired Parker and Sons without my knowledge to come and check the AC which wasn't cooling. The AC unit is only 8 years old. The tech told my tenant that a new air handler was needed in the attic. $1400 later, the AC worked for 2 weeks and then quit cooling. My tenants called Parker and Sons back out, and they are now saying there is a leak "somewhere" in the system and that a whole new system is needed. That's a bunch of crap, they didn't even try to find the leak because they work on commission and are only interested in selling new units. I would have never called Parker based upon their reviews, and I have contractors I use and TRUST for my rental properties. Now I will have to have my people come out and find out what the problem is. My contractor has even suggested that perhaps the Parker and Sons tech caused the leak when they installed the new air handler, but without seeing it, he doesn't know for sure. I will post an update after inspection, but it's highly suspicious.
