This was by far the worst experience at a hotel I've ever had. Our flight was scheduled to be in just before midnight so I let the hotel know i would be checking in late. They let me know they would note it and informed me about that I could use the mobile check in and pick up my key at the kiosk. Upon arrival all the kiosks were black and another guest let me know they shut down at midnight. So I had no choice but to stand in a slow moving line that was LONG! Exactly the last thing i wanted to do after a 5 hour flight. So we get to our room and immediately go to take a shower. The tray on the counter was cracked, the wallpaper looked as if it as peeling and the fixtures covered in limescale. The drain in the super must've been clogged because it almost immediately started to fill up the tub. So we figured we would deal with it we knew that we booked a hotel under renovation. Next came the bad experience at the spa here. You can see that review there. Then the next day we decided to sleep in. Even though its difficult seeing and hearing construcrion so early. Our room was not equipped with a "privacy please" sign so as soon as I heard the housekeepers in the hall I asked her nicely to not come in and if I could just get two new towels. She then tells me "okay where's your old ones?" So puzzled I ask her to hang on and go get them when she replied with "And your trash where's all your trash bags?" Ummm What? No thanks! So that night we dined at the Italian restaraunt which was probably the highlight of the hotel. They had an amazing staff. So the next day we went to the dinner buffet. I had a 2 for 1 and honestly it still wasn't worth it. Everything was salty. I mean unbearably salty. Nothing there was edible. And the next morning we decided to again torture ourselves with a breakfast buffet that was not salty but still not edible. It all tasted bad. Then we get back to our room to find a note saying they will shut off our water for 6 hours. 6 whole hours and all we were offered was bottle waters next to the elevator that was gone in the time it takes to walk from our room to the elevator. And no they didn't bother to refill it. We weren't offered any sort of discount or anything. Then on the day of checkout we had an appointment between checkout and our flight so we decided to leave our stuff with the bell staff. The person who took our bag was so pushy for a tip and I never heard of tipping before service? And he kept saying "but i want be here when you get back but I'll take care of your stuff right now" and sure enough when we got back he was still there and surprising not eager to help ANYONE in line. All in all worst experience. Don't stay here. It's not worth a dime. I wish I spoke to a manager when I was there but the checkout desk and the bell desk line was ridiculous and as stated we had an appointment. Good luck to anyone else that braves this place.
