I've been going to this dentist since November to start and finish my journey of getting dentures. I got my set and I had to go back several times because my bones were protruding. I was referred to an oral surgeon to get them removed or ground down etc. and once I was healed enough I could go get my dentures realigned, so my dentist came in the room and asked what was wrong and I said I'm here for a realign now that I'm all healed. He kept asking about adjusting the current set. I told him no, you sent me to the oral surgeon and now I'm back for the realign. He said that I should look into another dentist for my realign and to take on my case because his normal denture patients only come once maybe twice and everything is fine. He sees this as an uphill battle (exact words). I'm sorry what?? You're my doctor and I did what you said exactly. And now it's too much trouble?!?!
My guess is that he already got the lump sum payment from my insurance company and wasn't going to get anymore.
Whatever the reason it's unacceptable treatment.
Find another dentist. This will not be able to see you once your insurance stops paying.
