I guess I have to say I'm a fan of Drake. So when I finally got a chance to check out his shop, I was pretty excited.
First impressions were dominated by the starkness of the space - right angles and very clean whites, floor-to-ceiling. The location only exacerbates this, as there are a lot of dusty, old stores in the surrounding areas.
I think I got a nod from the person working the cash when we walked in, but that was pretty much it outside of interaction. I don't really expect more than that in the OVO store, there's not that much room for discussion ("hey do you like drake woah cool me too woaaaah no way") so I don't really mind too much.
I tried on a few hats and ended up buying one - it came with a few stickers that are sold individually for a few bucks each, so that was nice. I threw one on my laptop and one on my skateboard.
If you don't want to wear OVO clothes there's not much here for you, but at least the soundtrack is well curated - I believe 40 has spoken about this in an interview. Everything is decently pricey but still well within the range of affordable.
