It is new, nice, clean, and well lit.... I have stopped there four times. Twice I was over charged for something I purchased. The items rang up different from what the sticker said. The cashiers don't care. Another time, I asked for $100 cash back. The cashier didn't count it back to me and distracted me ( intentionally or unintentionally.... I really don't know) by making conversation. I put the cash in my pocket all folded together and went on my merry way to play bingo. When I pulled the cash out to pay for my bingo, there was only $80. During Bingo intermission I called and explained the situation and asked if they'd count the drawer to see if the cashier was over. They said they would, and asked me to stop back by and if she was over $20, it would be left for me to pick up. I stopped by on the way home and was given the $20.
They have changed their policy since, and now I am told the max cash back is now $20.
I like to think most people are honest and that it was an honest mistake. This people have a hard job working with the public as it is. But unfortunately, I don't think I will be comfortable frequenting the Corner Store anymore considering 3 out of 4 visits were not a good experience for me.
