Upon entering Le Passe Compose, the first thing that caught my eye were these giant glasses of grapefruit juice that almost everyone seemed to order. I had to investigate the hype for myself and it was well worth it -- Their freshly squeezed grapefruit juice is served with crushed ice (the best kind for keeping your juice cold but not watered down). To eat, we shared two plates:
1. Lamb eggs benny with two eggs -- It was topped with a spiced hollandaise and a generous handful of kettle chips. The whole combination was just to die for. While the photo may make the benedict look a little overly saucy, it was actually the perfect amount. If you are ordering a benedict for yourself, I would recommend considering the one egg option. With the toppings, sauce and potential juices or sides you may order, the one egg is the ideal serving size.
2. Panko crusted French toast -- Two thick slices of white bread, perfectly light with that extra panko crunchiness, with real maple syrup on the side. Both plates were served with fresh fruit and a little smoothie on the side.
The service gets a little hectic when it is busy at Le Passe Compose but the food is impressive enough that it's worth the visit!
