  • Whenever I go out to eat, I make sure that the food that I chose to get is something unique and something that I could not be able to make at home myself. Upon arriving I came in with a group of seven, we were placed right in the middle of the restaurant. We waited for about ten to fifteen minutes before ordering and I ordered the Chicken Katsu with an addition of sausage. I did not get any spicy level because it being my first time I wanted to taste the curry itself. We waited for another fifteen minutes until our food came and we still didn't have our napkins/ eating utensils. So when we asked for that and the pickled ginger we didn't touch our food probably until eight minutes after it came out. Service was a bit slow in the beginning but our server was very nice. The food is a 3/5. Like I have mentioned before, I go out to eat especially to new places to determine if their food is worthy of being unique, meaning I wouldn't be able to replicate back at home. However, this curry was something that I knew I or my family could make at home. Of course it was good but there wasn't anything that stood out to me. Their chicken katsu was the same as well as their sausages. I paid about $3 extra for three pieces of sausages. Towards the end I didn't finish eating my curry because the rice/ curry ratio was completely off. There were more curry and meat itself than rice so that was frustrating. I pushed the curry to the side to see where the rice line ended and it didn't cover at least half the plate, it was about 1/4 of it. The food was overall okay, I just wished my rice ratio and sausage portion was bigger and the curry stood out opposed to thinking about "I could make this at home" type of thought. Calculating my bill without tip it came out to about $16. The plate is big but with the actually quality in the curry plates it does not break even to the amount you pay vs. what you get. Waiting for our checks and paying alone took longer than us eating, which we were confused about. We seen other people go got their checks after a leave the store before us.
