  • So here is my take on All My Sons. In the beginning Jeff came out and did an estimate for us. We had and appt for 0800 on a Saturday morning. He called at 0730 to confirm appt. My wife and I were taking showers and getting ready for him and did not hear the phones. Needless to say he never showed. Who calls 30 mins before an apt that was made over a week prior? Why not call the night before? We called the office at 0815 and of coarse Jeff was already on his way to Phoenix. So we felt we were blown off. We made another appt and he actually showed up and was early to that one. So he went through our house punching everything into his tablet and came up with a very high price. Said we could move some of the smaller stuff our self to save some money. We rented a storage unit and moved all of the boxes and smaller, odd shaped furniture and packed the unit. Spent $100 for a month of storage and had Jeff come back out and revise his quote. Wound up cutting about $500 from original quote. So that was a plus. Now the day of the move. Still went with 4 men, but pretty much only left the big furniture. They were an hour later than the scheduled time and the "leader" of the crew comes in to tell us that we paid for 4 guys but he had damaged ribs so really we had 3 guys. He lifted light objects and directed the packing of the truck. Nice guy, but we paid for 4 guys? Took them 3 hours to load up the truck with 3 guys instead of 4. We felt it should've been quicker with all the small stuff packed into storage, by us, already. Because of our weird closing we booked the truck for 2 nights just in case we did not close on time. We were ensured, by Jeff, that we could call and they would come and offload on Monday instead of Tuesday if the closing went through. We hustled and got the closing done early, and the funds transferred. Called the office and spoke with the owner Dan we was not in any sort of urgency to get us offloaded that night. Said he would call me back and I never heard from him. Called back 3 hours later to learn there was a crew in route to us. Good thing we were just chilling unloaded a couple of loads from storage. The crew that offloaded was not the crew that loaded us. Friendly group of guys. One guy was younger and was new as they told us. He would not shut up about how good he was at moving and how strong he was. While dollying a waredrob box to our bedroom he walked right into the wall. Dinged our wall of our new build house that we have not even slept in. So the only furniture that seemed damaged was our loveseat, which we just discovered, one side is broken and it does not recline, and our water cooler. They took the top off and it has leaked ever since we tried to refill it. A couple of nicks in the walls and we had to remind both crews to cover the door jams and put the runner out on the floor. They served the purpose of moving the big stuff on a hot day. We supplied them with water, that was not an issue. We had to remind them that we offloaded a day early which saved us about $200 for not having the truck for an extra night. Of course if my wife didn't catch it they would gladly have charged us for it. We saved about $700 from original quote by moving much of the little, odd stuff ourselves. Watch your itemize quote because things you do not own will show up on there so they can "add weight" and labor to your bill. Would we use them again? Probably not.
