  • Ok, so you may think I'm crazy, but I'm not a huge ice cream fan. I eat it on the rare occasion, but I wouldn't call myself a regular in the frozen dessert aisle of the grocery store. Well Churned, you may have just changed that. I've been reading about this Tremont locale for a few weeks now and finally made my first jaunt (the first of two last week!) to this ice cream heaven. Located right across from Lincoln park, it's the perfect little shop packed with a lot of flavor! Enter and be prepared to look in disbelief at the interesting array of flavors (wasabi & ginger, anyone?!), continue to be in disbelief when getting to taste these un-conventional flavors and realize that they make total sense, and then take that disbelief to believer status when you sit in the quaint seating area stuffing your face with what you've now realized is some of the best ice cream you've EVER had. It's hard to make just one recommendation because there are so many great flavors, but I'll be biased and say that the brown butter with caramel is OMG good. But try them all - trust me, they don't mind and neither will your mouth.
