  • Met up with an old friend recently after work. Sat at the bar and caught up and one pint led to another, and another and much more. Bartender was a great fellow. Made sure we ate something during the course of the evening. Meat pie, I recall and it was good. Closed the place on this quiet evening. A nice friendly pub. If I lived nearby I would be a more frequent visitor to that barstool.
