  • As an ex-butcher, I appreciate this place more than most as the high quality of the meats and knowledge of its meat cutters is indisputable. I also love the fervor and customer committedness of its employees, in fact, it is second to none. Yes you pay more, much more, for such quality; and to some it's worth it. I do personally enjoy shopping here and love its community vibe but it would be very difficult for the average person to purchase all their meat here which is why I purchase some select cuts here but still purchase most my meat the nearby Harris Teeter. If price was not a issue, yes I'd purchase everything here. I should add that there are Go Play Save coupons available books that contain two $10 off of $50 coupons in them which I always use. Local schools sell these books during fund drives. It's also worth mentioning that on Wednesdays and Saturdays fresh produce is sold open market style in the parking lot. I normally go on one of those two days. I must give this place five stars and it is also a Gotta Try.
