There are four techs here. I used to have acrylics on but have since transitioned to gel manicures. I have come here for both and I can say that after today I won't return.
If you're getting a fill you can't beat the quick wait times. The quality is ok, but you have to remember that their primary goal is to get as many people done as quickly as possible. The price point is average. I had a dedicated salon but if I couldn't get in there I would come here.
The younger man did my fills most of the time and they were fine. When it comes to polish, he's not so great. The sides are usually missed on the second pass. As for the older lady she gives the best mani-pedis. She's very thorough with the cuticles.
The younger woman has given me fills and she's like a robot. The only question she asks is to confirm the polish you're getting. She won't ask if you want them cut. She just fills, polishes, and you're at the dryer. Today she did my gel manicure. She filed my nails then buffed. After that she got a bowl for me to "soak" them. Quotation marks for emphasis... My hands touched the water for a max 10 seconds.
I've gotten a few gel manicures at another salon and this was my first one here due to time constraints. It's been 4 weeks since my last one and the polish wasn't even chipped. So I have a pretty good idea of what a quality gel manicure is...
This is not quality. I have polish all over my nail bed and one sides. That's one of the main reasons why a gel mani doesn't last. Only one top coat was applied and when I requested for her to polish the tips to seal the nail, she said "I already did". I waited with my hands out until she whipped the top coat out again.
I estimate that my polish will stay on a week. Never again!!!
