Walked passed the store this morning and decided to check it out in the afternoon. The store is very minimalistic and clean, the staff was very friendly. They only had the double cheesecake for sample, but I wasn't a big fan. We ended up buying their cheese tart (with tax it came out to 9$), cause it looked really cool (it looked like a massive egg tart). We walked home with it, and by the time we got home the cheese from the tart had spilled out. I'm not sure if its because it just came out of the oven so the cheese hadn't set or if its meant to be like that. I definitely would have appreciated a little warning though that the cheese could spill. But in terms of flavour it tasted like a warm croissant dipped in sweet cheese fondue (I found that to be a really cool concept). It's on the sweet side so I definitely recommend sharing it.
I think this is a great addition to the area, it offers something unique compared to all the other sweet ships that's popped up recently. Since they seem to make their cakes in small batches to ensure freshness I'd be very curious to see if/when this becomes popular how they will keep up with demand. Things I'd like to see is offering of coffee and/or tea and option of buying the cake by the slice to make it more cafe like (they already have the seating available). As is, I only saw people eating the cake out of their boxes.
