| - I can not stand this place. It had SO much potential but almost every aspect of this club is bad. The one thing it has going for it is location. Being in the Epicenter and the only real "clubby" dance club, is the only reason it can possibly still be in business.
First the line is absolutely ridiculous. Somehow there are two separate lines, VIP and regular. God forgive you if you do have VIP as everyone else heckles you for skipping line and what not. People wait in both though, and being on the second floor of the epicenter, as soon as you get off the escalator your smacked in the face with this cluster F of a line. Not only is the line unorganized, there are 3 separate lines to go through. Once you get past the first door guy, you have a separate rope to wait out where they check your ID's. Even here you may have to wait, then you go upstairs past a pointless coat check. Walk by a couple more door guys to a register where you will pay entrance, and there is no re-entrance. If you leave you have to wait in line again and pay again. Seriously?
After dealing with all that BULL, you get in the club and the place is no where near capacity... ever! Seriously you will be baffled at why you've waited and had to deal with the three lines to go in a club with some people but is not packed. I understand building hype but really? REALLY? It is completely unnecessary.
The layout has to be the worst out of the many clubs I've been to. Suit has two bars, a small dj booth, small VIP areas, and small dance floor.. What you do have is a HUGE patio, so when the weather is bad you have a stupid small club. The dance floor is crowded, the bar is loaded with people just being wallflowers making it hard to get a drink, the path to the bathroom is through the dance floor. My lord WHO built this place?
Suite has SO much potential it really does. What it needs to do is to get rid of the wanna be high end line and doormen. A complete remodel, seriously the club could be great if it was rebuilt.
If your in the epicenter and want a nice place to drink and dance, I'd recommend going to Mez or Kazba even though they dont have much of a dance floor. I'd still rather hang there then Suite. Hell even Whiskey River is more comfortable and less snobby.
If you want to go to a real club with some ample room... go to another city. I love Halo, just not the crowd. Butter is probably smaller than Suite, but the crowd is better and has a much MUCH nicer layout. I, for one, will frequent Halo and Butter over this place.
