If you read my reviews I have a soft spot for steakhouses. I wanted to give Prime 4 stars but I think 3 - 3 1/2 is about right.
The restaurant itself is beautiful and the ambience is perfect in that it is not loud at all.
My friend and I both had the Bone-In Rib Eye, 18 oz - $58. A bit pricey. It was good, we both said a B-B+. Not amazing. We went for that cut as it was wet-aged and we are not fans of dry aged which they had 2 of on the menu.
The Mac and Cheese was amazing, full of Gouda goodness. We had crispy potatoes which is a twice baked potato covered in cheese and bacon. It's a glorified potato skin. Avoid it.
The bread selection was nothing special.
I had the warm chocolate cake, a molten lava chocolate creation with a tiny scoop of vanilla bean. Average.
We escaped for under $200 as we had no alcohol. I'd go back there but certainly recommend CUT, Mastros and Morels before Prime.
