I just noticed the previous review and felt inspired to inform: It's little known, but Grand Luxe Cafe actually started as a collaboration between the Venetian and the company that owns Cheesecake Factory, because at the time they were not allowed to open another CF on the Strip (this is what I've been reliably told).
Ironically, Grand Luxe took off and became one of the most, if not THE most successful restaurants in the original Venetian--which is why there are now two. And there's a big Grand Luxe in LA as well. And probably more elsewhere.
I haven't eaten here in a while, but I certainly believe this restaurant fulfills the phrase "it is what it is" better than anywhere.
