  • I have yet to visit the largest North American aquarium in Georgia, but I have been to the second largest in Monterey Bay. In size comparison, Ripley's is smaller than the two yet very very impressive to say the least. Impressive compared to the aquarium at the Cal Academy of Science (SF), but about the same size as the Aquarium of the Pacific (Long Beach). Definitely five times larger than the Birch Aquarium at Scripps (La Jolla). Also very touristy, but hey it makes for a 'fun, nothing else to do, good time' right? At first I was hesitant to go here, but unexpectedly, my experience walking around was totally worth it in my opinion! At the admission counter, we were helped by Dil whom seemed very enthusiastic about being there. We took advantage of the Date Night Package and ended up saving a few bucks with what's included in the package: ~ 2 Adult tickets / entry after 7pm. ~ An aquarium Guidebook. ~ $20 food voucher. ~ Soft-frame photo and a digital copy. ~ $67.80 total for two. : HIGHLIGHTS : ~ The RB piranhas! A boring freshwater fish, but love checking out their teeth. ~ Canadian Waters and the types of freshwater fish like the paddlefish, sturgeon, and cods. ~ Planet Jellies room! I kept thinking, wow what a screensaver! It's most likely a neon lover's favorite place to be. I started feeling like I entered a new world! NO, I DID enter a new world! ~ The Dangerous Lagoon! OHhhh dude!!! UBER NICE!!! Just stand there on the moving sidewalk, and admire it. No need to rush going through this long tunnel of fun. I'm just utter amazed with the length and gallons of water it holds. Tiger sharks, sea turtles, a gigantic sawfish, the goliath groupers that weigh more than you, and tons of various schooling fish. So vast and relaxing! ~ And the Ray Bay tank! Now these are the largest rays I've ever seen. Sorta sad their tails are contorted probably from not having enough room. But still, just 'in awwww' with the mere size of these fish. ~ Plenty of date night selfie opps too! :: STAFF :: ~ Now not only were the admission folks helpful, so were the photographers. If we needed an answer, they would know it. And with a pleasant attitude about it. ~ Caught a feeding show as well, and although the dumb jokes are a part it, they were still entertaining. Educational for the kids too! They all seemed to be having a great time. ::: FOOD ::: ~ We used our $20 voucher and got a cheeseburger with onion rings, and some chicken strips and fries. Typical fast food, not bad, but what do ya expect. :::: OVERALL :::: ~ I LOVE FISH! There were literally thousands of cool ones to stare at, as well as the other interesting types of sea life. ~ Each tank were well designed in my opinion. So large kids won't have a problem seeing anthing. ~ You can do both CN Tower and the aquarium in a day. ~ Would I do it again? This is already my 4th favorite aquarium, so YES!
