  • This company is contracted to provide installation services for Rogers Cable. I had recently moved and they were sent to setup my cable internet. The tech had called to confirm arrival and arrived on time. It was a simple job of ensuring the cable signal was hot and that signal was going to the modem. But the tech took it upon himself to remove a cable signal booster (Electroline EDA-2100 Signal Booster) from my home. It was screwed to the ceiling and nothing was plugged into it. There was no Rogers branding on it and to my knowledge they do not own or install that type of equipment. I didn't realize the tech had walked out with it until he was already gone. So basically the tech 'stole' this item from my property. I contacted Teksavvy about this and in tern they contacted Rogers and was told "We have been advised that from time to time a signal booster is installed by Rogers to assist with a signal issue at a residence. If the issue is later resolved (ie new equipment installed at the node), then the technician may take the signal booster out of the home and return it to Rogers. This appears to have been the case.". I didn't buy that answer but it wasn't that big a deal. But when a tech is sent out to do ONE job of making sure the internet connection is setup and working at a new home. They're not there to remove any equipment which is why I gave two stars. Also when I've had techs do house visits, they would either take off their boots or wear boot covers, these guys do not.
