This was another fascinating site that was a part of the tour we took to the Hoover Dam. This bridge was built primarily for security, to divert traffic off the dam itself.
The views are spectacular in all directions. The views of the dam are extraordinary and the views in the other directions at the mountains are also wonderful. Be warned that cross-winds are strong, so don't forget where you are lest you blow away.
It's nice that it was named for Mike O'Callaghan, a prior Governor of Nevada , and Pat Tillman, a football player with Arizona Cardinals who enlisted in the Army and was later killed in Afghanistan.
This is a must see if you visit the Hoover Dam.
