What a beautiful park right in the downtown area! This is another must-visit location in Pittsburgh. There's a little food stand that sells water ice and some other refreshments. The fountain is magnificent, and the park is well-designed well-maintained. There are plenty of trees to provide shade. And the rivers are right there, easily accessible. However, my favorite part of the park is walking under the bridge to the point area. There's shallow water under the bridge, and when the sun strikes it, it sends beautiful reflections up on the underside of the bridge. Basically, the park has a lot of beautiful green space and is a great place to relax.
The fountain and the shallow water do not run in the winter (understandably).
