| - Good service, dark, pricey, but decent eats.
I wanted a good steak. I knew this place was pricey, which it is, but I was craving meat. My girl ordered the steak-lobster special and I ordered a 8 oz fillet, we both ordered them medium rare.
When the steaks came I was instructed to cut into the center and check it, if you dont like it we can fix it. I'm like what?, but I'll get to this in a minute. So the steaks come, hot as hell, I'm guessing they didn't even let it stand, anyway we cut into them as instructed and the suckers were cold and raw in the center. It was even too rare for my girl which She will basically eat hers usually very rare. The waiter instructs we we can just heat that up more. Ok here's what I find wrong. Medium rare should be warm in the middle, even by just pressing on the steaks I could tell it was rare. Shouldn't a steak house charging these types of prices know better. Once you cut the thing in half then put it back on the grill its going to dry out. Away, so they give it a good again, steaks come back, plates hot as hell, but the damn thing is cold in the middle, huh? The servicer quickly says , I have them make another one and hes gone. So what comes out is this tiny fillet thats about 3/4" thick, dry and over cooked.
At this point, I realize this is not going well, I just shut my mouth and eat. I'm not all that hungry, since I was snacking on her lobster, which was good. The pesto and basil mash potatos were very good. So in the end, I left not filling my desire for steak from a steak house, bummer. I can't knock the service, I found the service to be excellent, but in the end the steak was the disappointing.
