| - RECOMMENDATION: If you are looking for a cost-effective, close-to-the-Strip hotel will little to no frills, then this is your hotel.
DATES: Stayed 5 nights over Memorial Day Weekend
RESERVATIONS: Booked through Caesars; exceptional customer service; booked room, later found out rates dropped, called Caesars, and they honored the lower price, saving me over $100
ROOM: We stayed in a King, Non-smoking Room. After booking the hotel, I read reviews of the hotel and was very nervous for my stay. While some fears did not materialize, others were noticeable. The toilet in our room refilled itself every 30 minutes that included a loud banging noise. The walls are paper thin so pray your neighbors are the cute, old couple on their 50th anniversary. The shower overflowed every time it was used spilling out into our room requiring us to use multiple towels to clean up. One of the lamps was unplugged, some of the electrical sockets didn't work, and one electrical socket was missing a socket cover (Fire & Safety Hazard).
STAFF: Friendly, although besides the casino area, they seem understaffed for such a large resort.
HOTEL: The renovated hallways look very nice although guests placed garbage in the hallway which, at times, stayed in the hallway for over 24 hours, even though housekeeping was in the hallways from 8am to 5pm. If you have a fear of elevators, don't test out their hotel elevators; they've clearly seen better days and need to be tested for safety (at times it felt like we were going to plummet 10 stories).
PROXIMITY: The Flamingo is right on the Vegas Strip. It is in a VERY convenient location to everything.
CASINO: Smoker-friendly. Their HVAC system is fairly good, so the smell and haze barely exists. Tables range from $10+ per hand.
POOL: Free for hotel guests. We loved the pool (although Bally's has a bigger/nicer pool).
GYM: Basic gym with standard equipment. Free for hotel guests.
WIFI: It's free for 2 devices; although it moves at a glacial pace at times.
