  • I'm done. I've given this place plenty of chances, but it gets worse every time. I'm a Cardinals fan and I'll continue to support them, but from home or a different stadium. I'm currently sitting in my seat fuming and sipping some wine hoping it will take off the edge from my latest experience. My in-laws are in town for the Chicago Cards game. My father-in-law is recently retired law enforcement. We made sure to leave our firearms at home, but he's wearing cargo shorts and forgot to take out a mag. The detector goes off and he gets wanded. They identify the pocket that set it off, it's one of the smallest pockets and he turns in inside out revealing a mag. Mind you, there is no gun, just a spare mag and that's the only part of him that beeped when being wanded. The security officer flips out and starts screaming at him in incoherent phrases, we honestly thought he was having a stroke so we show concern which he took as a threat so he then starts threatening my father-in-law. I get being a thrown off by that, but if he really thought he was a threat, why did he think threatening him would be a smart move? My father-in-law says to calm down and he will run it back to the car and go back through security after that, the guard starts yelling for help. A supervisor comes up and defused the situation, but we are now walking into the stadium with people keeping their distance because they just saw a security guard have a meltdown and multiple people called to address the situation. It was nice because we didn't have to push to get through the crowd, but I'm irritated by the terrible handling of that situation. We then get to the gates and give them our tickets, my husband pulls out all 4 and they get scanned. A job qualification for working here must be an inability to communicate with customers because he shakes his head at us. We start walking in unsure of what's wrong with him and he then puts up 3 fingers. We count the tickets infront of him and he still says we only have 3... A supervisor is needed again and after he counts to 4, he lets us in and apologizes. Ok, now people are really starting to think we are up to something and they look afraid of us. I'm not someone to get easily embarrassed, but I've been made to feel like a criminal and unless this game starts to improve and my wine kicks in, I pretty much just wasted quite a bit of money and a Saturday night only to be ostracized by the staff here. You guys need to up your hiring standards!
