Rob & I went here on March 16th to have an early St. Patty's celebration without being stuck in a massive crowd. I'd like to mention that we were there in the afternoon and the place was still pretty quiet. There were quite a few "sections" of tables to choose from, but I was intrigued by the upstairs because I've heard many-a-ghost story about it (I understand it used to be a funeral home quite a few years ago).
The waitress told me the upstairs was closed, which made me even more intrigued...so we picked a seat on the "stage" near the fire place, so I could see directly up the stairs. I saw shadows and movement, but it turned out to just be staff members, I was almost hopeful to see a ghost just to say that I did.
So Rob & I decided to order the Nachos Supreme (sharing nachos is just something we do) and when it came to our table, it looked big enough to feed at least four people lol. It did take us close to 45 minutes to finish it, and I was so full I felt sick. We would have stayed longer, but a band showed up and started setting up their equipment right next to us so we got out of their before one of us got hit with a passing guitar or something. Going to the notorious 'Rose & Crown' is something we've been wanting to do for awhile now, so methinks someday we shall return, but I would really like to check out the upstairs at least once.
