  • I had a great experience here with Dr. Dombo. She listens and provides compassionate care, and is clearly very smart. She is the ONLY reason I am giving this review 2 stars. While Dr. Dombo was out of the country, I saw a nurse practitioner (Janelle) to have my birth control implant removed. At that appointment, she asked if I wanted a prescription for an oral contraceptive (which I have taken in the past). I said no, as I wasn't sexually active at the time. When I called some months later to get a prescription, I was told that I couldn't get one without being seen - which, of course, I had been, and we had discussed contraception, at my previous appointment. I am currently in NYC for a relatively short-term (5 month) assignment, so it is not possible for me to attend an office visit in Phoenix. I had to call the triage line 3 separate times to even get an initial response to my inquiry. When I was told that there was no way to get an RX without an office visit, I tried to get an appointment with two separate physicians here in NY and was told there would be a 3-4 month wait for both. When I explained this to the triage nurses at MomDoc, they said there was nothing they could do for me. They also refused to relay my messages to my primary practitioner in the practice (Dr. Dombo) because "company policy says that we have to go to the last person you saw," which, of course, I had only done because Dr. Dombo was not in the country. I am extremely disappointed with the inflexibility and lack of responsiveness of the staff here. As OB-GYNs, I feel that a primary job function should be the prevention of unwanted pregnancies. On a separate occasion, I requested my medical records and received a CD containing some of my records - and some of another woman's, a huge HIPAA violation. I can only surmise that this occurred because that woman requested her records and also received some of mine. I called to ask about it and was told that it would have been "nearly impossible" for her to receive my records, which was clearly a fabrication since I had received hers. I was willing to let this go because I know that mistakes occur and I wanted to continue seeing Dr. Dombo, but after this recent experience, I have given up. I will never return to this practice.
