Six months later I can laugh about how terrible my experience at this apartment was and thank the lord I had the opportunity to get out of my lease. At the time it wasn't so funny. The management here is the worst thing I have ever experienced. I received one written noise complaint about my dog, then never heard anything else. I had assumed the problem was taken care of when I changed her schedule, bought her new toys, and started dog training. One month later I received a threatening email stating that I had 11 days to move out or they would begin an eviction process that would "tarnish my rental record" and make it difficult for me to find a home in the future.
I completely understand if my dog was too noisy and I needed to do something about it, however don't give me one written notice, tell me not worry about the notice because it takes multiple notices before receiving a fine and that its "not a big deal" then turn around and tell me that I have 11 days to move out without any further warning. I was willing to work with management and my neighbors to fix the problem, but they were the most unreasonable people I have ever dealt with.
On the bright side, I am now happily in a 4 bedroom 2 1/2 bathroom rental house that costs the same amount as my old 2 bedroom apartment. I could not be happier knowing that I am no longer paying unreasonable amounts of money to live in poorly built apartments with inadequate parking.
