| - I went this morning to get my car tested at this facility, a whole month early, just to be a good doobee. Boy did I get punished for that. I waited over thirty minutes, mostly watching a marque sign that said the wait was only 11 minutes. The person who tested the car barely acknowledged me and just mumbled the instructions, I had to guess at what he said. Finally, the car is tested, I hand him my credit card, and he says their card reader is broken and I'll have to pay in cash. Now they tell me? I didn't have the cash, so the test was voided, which means I sat in the 110 degree heat for 1/2 an hour for nothing! I complained to the manager, and he said I should have seen the sign. Turns out there is a 4x5 card taped to the bottom of the gate to the entry lanes that does say their card reader is broken. But even if I had seen it, it wouldn't have done me any good, because by that point you are already in the one-way lanes and surrounded by cars, it's too late at that point to pull out or change directions to leave. When I asked the manager why he didn't put a sign up at the facility entrance so people could turn out before getting caught, he said the company that runs the stations only gave him the one sign. That is the lamest excuse I have ever heard, but that was his story and he was sticking with it.
As I finally pulled away, I saw someone else talking to him quickly and gesturing, I'm pretty sure I know what about. I'll bet he never does put up a sign to actually prevent the problems.
