This place is a complete dump. If that's what you're going for then have at it. I checked in. The front desk agent was eating her lunch and talking on her cell phone while she checked me in. I get it.. small hotels usually only have one person working so they have to multi-task and don't always get formal breaks.. but maybe don't pick up your taco and take a bite with my credit card in the other hand? And maybe tell your friends you gotta put the phone down for 2 minutes and they'll survive without having the gossip for 2 minutes while you check me in?
I get to the room. The door looked like it had been kicked in several times and not properly repaired. It was 91 outside, so I turned on the AC... well tried to turn on... the on\off knob was broken off and missing. Went back to the front desk, they changed my room. I got to the new room, grabbed the ice bucket, only to learn the ice machines were BOTH out of service. Back to the room I turned on the TV and it was so distorted picture I couldn't watch it. I went back to the front desk, said I'm leaving please refund. She said the manager would the next day. I went to a real hotel down the street.
I guess this place would be fine if you don't mind not having AC when it's 91... or having a TV that works... or needing ice on a hot day. Otherwise, it's a disgrace to the low-bar Super 8. Super 8 isn't fancy, nor is it high-end.. but they pride themselves on being clean and comfortable, and this property failed miserably.
