After a day of sightseeing in downtown, I managed to get to Point State Park just as the sun was setting. This made for a bit of a spookiness since there really isn't a tremendous amount of streetlighting here in the park. Because it was Small Business Saturday, my parking was free on the street. There's also a spendy paid lot.
Here at PSP is where the Allegheny and Monongahela Rivers meet and form the Ohio River. They two rivers drain a big piece of the Appalachian Mountains from the areas of upstate New York and from West Virginia so it's a big and wide river. If you're lucky, a tugboat pushing a barge will be going past.
Great views of the city that can't be beat from river level!
