| - In terms of "pubs" in Tempe, the Cornish Pasty is by far and away the best of the best. With an incredible beer selection, nice and friendly wait staff, and incredible food, the Pasty is one of my favorite places in Tempe, hands down.
To start, get yourself one of the many awesome beers they have on tap. If you're planning on staying a while to enjoy the brand new patio (with heaters and misters), I would recommend getting an extra large glass. 32 ounces of fun.
Next, go ahead and get yourself a cup of one of their awesome soups. Personal favorite: Red Pepper. Spicy, fresh, and delicious. If soup isn't your thing, I would recommend the oven chips -- oven-cooked french fries with cracked pepper. Definitely add the jalapeno.
For the main course, obviously a pasty is the way to go. My favorites include The Mexican (spiced steak strips, eggs, potatoes, jalapenos), The Royale with Cheese (hamburger, french fries, grilled onions, bacon, cheddar/swiss blend), and the Chicken Pot Pie (chicken, carrots, red potato, green beans, celery).
Finish your meal off with a class Cornish Pasty desert: The Banoffee Pie. Graham cracker crust, homemade caramel with bananas, and whipped cream... If you're not melting already you should get to a past shoppe ASAP.
5/5 for incredible atmosphere, food, staff, and overall experience. HIGHLY recommend.
