I have been buying and selling homes in the Phoenix area since the early 1990s. I have always used Old Republic because I always receive excellent service and they are on top of everything from beginning to end. However, in this unfortunate situation I was forced to work with the seller's Title Company which happened to be Driggs. The deal on the home fell through because the seller falsified important key facts about the home and then refused to perform needed repairs. I contacted Driggs (Rachel Anaya) the week of June 26th to obtain my $2000 earnest money back which has already been withdrawn from my checking account. She said fine they would mail the check out or I could come pick one up. I agreed to have it mailed. I spoke to her again on July 5th and she said that Driggs was going to hold on to my money another 10 days. She alluded to some law which I was not made aware of at the time of the house purchase or the first time I called her. I have found another home I'd like to buy, however because of Driggs Title I am unable unless I withdraw funds from another interest bearing account. I have lived in the valley my whole life and been able to avoid Driggs Title Company and I suggest everyone else do the same. They are as sleezy and dishonest as the home sellers they represent.
