I took a small birthday card into the Post Net store at 48th St/Baseline to get a price quote for a mailing to Queensland, Australia to get there around April 12th. The store was so conveniently close and worth paying a dollar or two more I thought. After ten minutes of arguing with me that the zip code was wrong (its correct according to my brother, previous mailings and the Australian post office) and fooling around on their computer, the couple who run the store finally quoted $158 plus some cents. I burst out laughing and despite the fact that I never usually cuss, an expletive did slip out as I left the store. I went to the Tempe Post office today and the actual cost was $1.15. I'd suggest neighbors drive the extra distance and use the Post Office ( halfway between Mill and Rural on Southern). The same Post Net store tried to overcharge me by $20 for a package to Virginia at Christmas, but this attempt was absolutely ludicrous. I won't be going in again.
