  • A few years ago, Skinpeccable in LA removed a mole from my left arm just above my wrist and left me with a gigantic pink puffy scar. I felt very uncomfortable showing my arm in public because of the scar, and so I wore long-sleeved shirts even during the summer. I tried many things to fix the damage, but the only thing that helped at all were steroid injections, and those didn't even help enough to satisfy me. So I came to Dr. Prichard for scar revision surgery. Most doctors doing this surgery make a pretty superficial cut in the skin, but Dr. Prichard cut much deeper. The method Dr. Prichard used apparently helps the skin heal without too much pulling on the wound (pulling can lead to a wider scar). On the flip side though, Dr. Prichard's method (since it's more intense) lead to a longer healing time. I could barely move my left wrist for about six weeks. The final result is now I have a scar that is much smaller than the scar I had before meeting Dr. Prichard. It is a little less than half an inch in length, and is flat and pretty straight (but a little bit squiggly on the end and in the middle). The area of the arm just above the wrist is one of the trickiest spots on the body to work on because there is less circulation to that area and because there's a lot of movement there, so all things considered, I think I got a pretty good result. The cost of the scar revision surgery was approximately $750. I know how awful having unsightly scars can be, so feel free to email me if you have any questions about my experience.
