Try finding a different Hampton Inn in the area.
I feel bad giving these kind of reviews and maybe I just had a few bad rooms. But here goes:
The room
We changed rooms a few times because the first two rooms we got smelled like very strong baby lotion. I can't put my finger on if it was something they clean the bedding with or disinfectant I don't know. But it was REALLY strong and I'm usually not one to be sensitive to smell. It was to the point where I was getting a headache from it. The smell was only in the rooms, the rest of the hotel smells fine -- it was the weirdest thing.
The room we finally ended up staying in still had the weird smell but much more subdued, thankfully. Everything else was just okay. There were some small white stains on the couches, a hair or two in the bedding. The carpet was quite dingy. The actual bathroom was clean. The little details were missing at this particular location.
Front desk
The receptionist was very accommodating and wanted to make sure we were satisfied with the room. He was very patient and empathetic so I do appreciate that.
Overall it was just meh. Knowing what I know now I would definitely look for another place to stay in the area.
