  • So I was hunting for a pair of Manolo Flats - satin with a nice shiny buckle in the front. I initially went to the David's location at Bayview Village and bought the blue pair, but they did not have a size 6 in the pink pair...which I also desperately wanted. So I asked the store to hold an order with their downtown location, one that I have not been in many years. But, it is nice. The renovated space is large and airy and displays all the wonderful shoes you can buy. When I entered, two gentlemen asked if they could help me and I told them I had a pair of shoes on hold for me. Well, one of the sales staff, Laurent something, said right this way. I sat on one of the comfortable chairs in the back and was given my shoe. They went to a lot of trouble to find my profile on their system (I had enough points for a $50 credit) and because my credit card put a hold, the store also offered to call on my behalf to fix the situation. It felt like they were bending over backwards for me, which hey, is fine by me! Overall, I had such a great experience that I think I will make this my go-to store. I thought the service here was so much better than the BV location.
