  • Their branding won't appeal to the coulrophobic at all, but if you like beer their offerings should appeal regardless of how one feels about clowns! From sours to stouts, they offer a little something for every beer drinker in a cosy, charmingly pirate-y/steampunk-esque taproom setting. Parking abounds, as Ass Clown - like many small breweries - is located tucked away in an industrial park. Far, far in the back of this particular park, and with little signage, so keep an eye out! The taproom itself is nicely decorated but not very spacious, so if you're wanting something particular you might want to get there early to beat the crowd. If you want a good selection of tasty North Carolina beers, do as their slogan suggests and - ahem - tap some Ass Clown.
