  • Wow, just saw Leo L's review regarding a heater/hvac blower resistor and how they tried to scam his mother out of $1800 after pulling the connector! These are criminals! Don't be stupid and give these people your business! Go to reputable car care shops! This is quite surprising because my friend swears that AutoNation Nissan nearby never tries to rip him off! I came in about 2 days ago with a similar issue as Leo L. on my Honda Odyssey minivan. The AC wouldn't blow in the front and came out hot in the back. Turns out the blower resistor had died. This is a VERY CHEAP part (you can find it as low as 12 bucks online!) and you can replace it yourself in about 5 minutes flat (2 screws and a connector). Instead of treating me fairly, their rep NATE (sales rep #1) tried to upsell me expensive things I don't need right now and told me this: "$494 for the resistor replacement OR $899 for timing belt replacement (which I don't need right now but he went into a long spiel about how my engine was going to go up in flames soon -----huge scare tactics here!!!) and then I'll ONLY charge you $100 for the resistor replacement! $1000 out the door!"........... (wow what a great deal eh?) They will not fix things for reasonable amounts and try to extort you for doing work you don't need at the moment! I immediately told him I'm coming to pick up the car. What a bunch of lying morons over here. Not enough money to just fix my AC resistor? They want to hit you up for at least a thousand or more each time you come here! Once you lie to me, I will NEVER come back period and I hope all of you are reading this review. DO NOT GO HERE EVER. THESE ARE CRIMINALS. When I came back, they purposely took forever to bring my car back (waited 40 mins!!!) and Mr. Nate was like "we had the part in your car already and it was working great! It took so long because we had to remove the part. (Because the part took literally 5 minutes to replace???). Can we price match? What did I do wrong?". I looked at him and thought to myself, "Do I have to tell you, you scum bag?" Remember he wanted $494 just for a $12 part replacement that take 5 mins for anyone to replace with a philips screwdriver. He quotes the OEM part as $309. Even if that's true (hugely inflated price), then you are going to charge me several hours labor on a part that literally takes 5 minutes to replace with a philips screwdriver??? But wait, if you pay for this other service (which I didn't come in for or ask for), then all of sudden the $494 goes down to $100! Wow, so you're telling me the dealer is willing to LOSE money on a $309 part + several hours of labor? Literally the best deal ever eh? Why not just do the right thing and be HONEST and say this is a cheap fix and will cost you $100 out the door and here's the other work we feel your car needs based on mileage and age. Feel free to come back when you are ready to have more work done. Why not? Because they only see you as a NUMBER here on their bottom line! Nothing else. Nate is only interested in upselling and getting at least $1000 or more from every succer who he sizes up and comes into his office. He's sales rep #1 here for a reason. Nate is thinking about his commissions and bonus checks and not about building customer loyalty and having happy repeat clients. Despite telling Nate what I wanted on the phone (to be treated and charged fairly and that I only wanted a single service at this time), he is driven to get a particular result from each interaction. They are pulling this crap in HOT PHOENIX because they know they can collect when someone loses their AC? This is a critical life and death type part and they are stealing from people here? These are SCUM OF THE EARTH here. STOP! This should be on the local news. The stealing is that bad over here!!!!!!!!!!! AutoNation Honda should be ASHAMED of their business practices esp. for a huge company like this that owns dealerships all over the country! I can only imagine how many elderly or other trusting people they lie to daily (and use scare tactics) to take as much money away from them as possible! I think the Attorney General should look into this esp. regarding Leo L and other complaints here. Why do we let these large companies get away with fleecing us? After all, we are honest hard working folks and these people steal our money without thinking twice about it when we are desperate to get our cars fixed! Disgusting.
