Richardson's is fine, but I don't think it is worth the price. The building itself is very unique and I have always enjoyed my time most when sitting in the outside lobby during happy hour. The restaurant itself is very cramped and very dim. You can hear every conversation and there simply is a lack of space. Water pitchers were constantly placed on the booth where my wife was sitting, meaning she kept looking over her shoulder to make sure they weren't dropped on her head. In my experiences, the servers never seem too engaged either. You get a bottle of water to fill yourself and rarely ever see the waiter post-order. On my recent trip, we got the wrong tab handed to us and it took us about 15 minutes to flag down the waiter to redress the issue.
The menu is relatively limited but full of unique offerings. My favorite is the pasta heidi - green chili linguine in a chipotle sauce. Very delicious. Their double baked green chili potato is also unique to Richardson's and quite delicious. I have also enjoyed their steak and fish offerings. But there are also plenty of just fine, nothing special options. That includes the Santa fe Chicken and their pizzas.
My biggest complaint is though the food is good, it simply isn't worth the price (mid $20s to mid $40s). A lot of the appetizers are the same price as the entrees, and I simply don't think the food justifies the prices.
It's a fun location, and the food is good. I simply have never felt compelled to make this a top option when I go out to eat.
