| - Wind Mobile can attract you to them with a good deal if you bring your own phone, but if you ever modify your plan for a short-term reason such as adding a month of roaming for a trip to the US, stay far away from them because that is just going to start a snowball into customer service hell.
First they'll automatically bill you for roaming, but once you get to the States, the roaming doesn't even work! And I'm talking about an urban center such as New York City.
And after you return from the trip to call them about the issue, customer service will tell you they can't reverse the payment though you didn't get the service you paid for AND they cannot offer you anything out of goodwill for the poor carrier service. They will then later tell you there were more steps that had to be done in order to do roaming, which they initially do not inform you upfront when you pay for roaming.
Suddenly on a different note a few weeks later, you're going to find the automatic billing no longer bills you the correct bill and adds on a few dollars more. If you call to ask about it, they will tell you they can reverse the few dollars if you stop the automatic payments for a few months and return to manual billing..which inconveniences the customer even more since the customer now has to cancel automatic billing, manually pay, then call back again to reinstate automatic billing,
If you escalate these customer service concerns and ask to speak with a manager, they refuse to let you speak to a manager at least until you ABSOLUTELY demand it. But even after the manager finally gets on the phone with you, the manager argues and talks over you and does not let you speak. Unbelievable customer service, they are probably dissatisfied with their work, lack training, and take it out on their customers.
