Another 5-star find in the Pittsburgh area. I kid you not. Guy Fieri hyped the right place. It is hands down the best diner in the universe. Actually, I don't know that for sure, but I dare you to find a better diner anywhere in the United States.
The food here is made with love and that's what makes it stand out out. You can taste the love in every single bite. The staff of this family-owned restaurant run like a well-oiled machine, used to the crazy crowds that come here every day to blow their diets and binge. This was all a girl could ask for on a cheat day.
I had Vicki's Italian Jumbot but with Guy Fieri's twist on it, making it a little more spicy. It was more than enough for Jim and I to share. We also shared the fantastic pumpkin pancakes. They do not need syrup at all. So fluffy, so delicious and gut-busting. Why do I have to live in D.C? I would be here every weekend for brunch. There is nothing like this place over here..wahhh! This place is great for sharing so order different dishes and eat them family style. The portions are gigantic and unforgiving!
Anyway, do not come to Dor-Stop thinking they have become over-commercialized because of their appearance on the Food Network. They have not. They are the same family-owned established where you can get no nonsense service and absolutely amazing food. If you are in Pittsburgh, run don't walk to Dormont and grab a seat at Dor-Stop. This is a glutton's dream come true.
