Dr. Kundavarm is a butcher.
I just re-read the very harsh review of him and his Academic Urology group last September and now I am feeling much worse than then. Then I was upset by the incompetence and indifference of Dr. K. and his staff following the botched prosate surgery they did on me in August 2016. Now I am much, much worse off - my medical condition seems to be getting worse all the time - because of the damage done to me by this evil doctor.
Following that surgery I learned - mostly from YouTube - that this laser surgery can cause damage to the cavernous nerve in the penis. That means you don't get a full erection and that means it is very difficult to achieve penetration - so you are pretty much impotent. When I first brought this up with Dr.K's P.A. he told me - agressively - that the operation does not do this damage to the cavernous nerve - so the problem was all inside my head. When I asked the doctor about it he said that of course it can cause impotence - and sometimes it gets better over time - and that we had discussed this all before the surgery.
This was blantant lying. If I had known beforehand that this surgery could make me impotent I would never have agreed to it.
The surgery was supposed to cure a part of my incontinence problem and it did not succeed. Dr. K. was of the opinion - contrary to the opinion of the VA and other urologists - that part of the problem I had was symptomatic of the prostate being too swollen. Or else he is just a butcher and ignores the medical findings of other doctors.
So now, all these months later, I am having worse incontinence and nocturia and - as the VA's Dr. Crowley told me in March, as he probed and poked around with a probe inside my penis -
the opening to the bladder was damaged by that laser surgery and the hardened tissue there and in the urethra was caused by that surgery also.
What I am looking at now is the bladder getting worse and worse and - if it closes and I cannot urinate then the kidney fails and I die in exruciating pain. Unless i get to Emergency in time - this is what the VA's clinic in St. George, Utah tells me - then I die of the kidney failure. If I do get to Emergency on time then I will be looking at major surgery - just to correct one of the effects of the botched laser surgery - and then more surgeries presumably to correct the damage done to tissues by Dr. K. - before even getting to some appropriate treatment for the original problem.
I think if you are facing laser surgery for prostate problems you owe it to yourself to do the necessry research and consider the possible effects of this surgery.
If you fail to do you may be facing worse incontinence,,,, impotence... and suicide.
