| - Honestly this is the only place to get sushi grade fish if you are in Pittsburgh.
Let me give a quick background, usually to get sushi grade fish you either have a fish market or go online. Pittsburgh not being near any coast, leaves online to be the best choice. Let's just say, fish online is currently a market that isn't worth investing. Too expensive and not very good.
Here, there is always fresh fish, even bluefin tuna, bigeye, yellowtail, mackerel, eel, tamago, ect. Tons of sushi supplies, along with Japanese staples. I was delighted to see vegetables, including very large carrots and chinese eggplant, when they cannot be found anywhere else. Tofu custard is even here, along with frozen tempura.
Prices here are much lower than those online, service is kind and friendly. I would highly reccomend it!
