| - On my last day in Scottsdale I wanted a good breakfast to fortify me for a long day of travel. The Daily Dose was near the hotel and had good reviews. The pics looked good too.
There was a bit of a wait, but no biggie. It was sunny, but a very strong cold wind was blowing. We ended up on the patio, but there was a heater, so it wasn't bad, but we did get a lot of wind. At one point, the wind blew off the table my tortilla for my dish.
I love green chilie pork and they had this great dish on the menu that included white beans, pork, with eggs and avocado. Sounded delish. It was mostly good. The flavors were there but sadly, the beans were not all the way cooked, they were way too firm still, and I couldn't eat them. But the chilie sauce and the eggs and the pork, in a tortilla were good. It was disappointing though, as the beans were a major component of the dish.
I also ordered one side pancake for my friend and I to share. It was almost like a crepe, it was that thin. It also was really rubbery. You couldn't cut through it with the fork. Very strange.
Service was outstanding though. When my tortilla flew off the table from the wind, she gladly got me another one. Our server was friendly and working hard.
Overall it was good, and I'd give them another chance, but someone should test the beans before they decide to serve them.
