Renters beware! I just received a $1,947.46 bill in the mail. This company is fraudulent.
I was in Las Vegas a couple weeks ago for a business trip for a day and a half. I flew in late and I was looking for my rental from another car company called Economy. I walked into the rental center and asked where Economy was located from E-Z. The guy at the counter said it was a shuttle away and he could give me a better deal then $40, so I went with E-Z for $30. The car was not in the greatest shape but I didn't think anything of it. Some scratches on the bumpers, it smelled a bit like cigarettes, and there were 41,275 miles on it. Better than paying $50 for a cab.
I drove directly to the hotel, parked in the garage and drove back to the airport a day and a half later. 18 miles total. No nonsense. The car did not even leave the hotel garage.
I just received a bill in the mail for $1,947.46. The company is saying I damaged the bumper. There were some previous scratches on the bumpers but nothing too big. I am not even sure what to do from here. I am in shock. If you have any suggestions, please help!
