| - I bought the living social coupon for $80, which had a promotional value of $135. My boyfriend took my car in for me and they did their up-selling shpeal. I opted for the higher quality film, which is just an additional $20, but I also wanted limo on my back windows, which I knew would be extra. At the end of the day, I paid an extra $150, so my total tint job was $285 (Living social $135 + $150 extra). That's about normal, I suppose, but he told my bf that we could refer people and they would get the same job I got for $250, and didn't need the living social coupon.
I feel they are deceiving people who buy the living social or groupon into thinking they are getting a "deal." That's what Living social and groupon are designed for, TO GET A DEAL, and CLEARLY you just end up paying normal price. I can see why they have so many bad reviews despite their quality work. This is a really bad marketing practice and will end up hurting their business moreso than bringing in new business. Word of mouth these days is huge.
The quality of the tint job itself is great. My bf said the guy was cool, and they got my car done quickly and within the time promised. The only thing is that they kind of fucked up the inside rubber part of my driver side window, the part that the window disappears into when you roll it down. It doesn't affect the window or the tint, so I guess it's not a HUGE deal, but it's annoying.
Overall, I wouldn't recommend people here even if the tint job is good quality, because of the deceitful marketing practices they've chosen to use to bring people in. It's unfortunate because they probably are a great business.
