| - Wow, that was bad even for a buffet.
I play poker and you get free entry if you play 3 hours of poker before 2 pm, so that's why I ate here despite the bad reviews.
Overall, here are some common themes: food wasn't warm/the right temperature, skimping on the more expensive ingredients, poor quality and labeling the dishes and sections wrong (ie the Asian food was labeled mid-eastern; the pancakes were labeled Mexican rice). Also, there isn't a big selection at all.
The tandoori chicken was undercooked and tough. The naan bread wasn't warm or doughy. The cheese quesadillas weren't warm and hardly had any cheese. The fried rice was dry and had some hard-ish grains of rice. The steak was tough and not flavorful.
The Mac n cheese was the worst Mac n cheese I've ever had. I don't know how they screwed up Mac m cheese but there were hard and dried out grated bits of cheese on top, the pasta didn't feel cooked enough, and the cheese was more like soup.
The deserts were actually all pretty good. I had a solid muffin, tasty fruit cobbler (although it's too rich and I was only able to have a few bites), and the vanilla custard was good enough that I wanted to go back and get some more.
But overall, this has to get one star. I kinda want to give them two stars, because it's only fair to lower your standards for buffet food, but this place... they went the opposite of above and beyond. It was notably bad, even for buffet food.
For what it's worth, here are some thoughts on buffet food in Vegas. I've notice that you really do get what you pay for. I've found that places $30 and above are usually pretty good, and under are usually pretty bad. If you want cheaper buffet food, head off The Strip if you can. It's usually almost half the price, and slightly better quality than the cheaper buffers on The Strip.
