We visited here for lunch when I was on business at Duquesne University. With all of the on-campus options shut down for the holidays, this place was convenient as it was across Forbes Ave. from the University grounds.
There were four in our party. We walked in at half past noon and had no trouble getting seated right away. Our server attended to us quickly and did a commendable job taking care of us. It was a typical pub setting. We were talking business over lunch and, while this place was not exactly quiet, it was not over the top as the atmosphere was more than adequate in allowing us to carry on discussions.
They offered several lunch-size meals for reasonable prices. I opted for the smoked pork tacos with homemade kettle chips. I was quite happy with the taste and the portion of this unusual choice.
I will likely give this place a try on a future visit to Duquesne. It is a convenient off-campus option offering decent quality fare.
