| - My Doctor was competent but my experience wasn't good.
Here are my complaints...
1. After the procedure, the doctor told me I might have a pre-cancerous condition. I was scared, there was very little compassion. They gave me a lot of nerve wracking information while I was still coming out of anesthesia. The doctor ran off before I could get through a fraction of my questions. I didn't even have time to formulate rational questions, I was still high. They threw me a pamphlet and pointed me toward the door.
2. They followed up on my biopsy and left me a message as they were closing for a long weekend (bare in mind I was waiting for information which was potentially life changing, at the very least had me up at nights). No thought to the stress that would put me under. All turned out ok but at the time I didn't know that, they had no compassion. I didn't find out the results until the long weekend was over.
3. It's now 2015, I just got another bill from them from 2011. It's not a large bill but let's consider this for a minute. It's only $30, I paid it but before I did I questioned them... My insurance, even though I had coverage would reject this based on it not being submitted in a timely manner. My insurance has since change so I would need to jump through many hurdles just to get it rejected. They told me if I didn't pay it they would send me to collections. Now let's consider that... It's $30 they came across they missed 4 years ago, a "balance transfer fee" whatever that is. If they sent me to collections they get cents on the dollar. These guys were willing to ruin my credit to collect cents on the dollar on a 4 year old bill they didn't submit in a timely fashion and would be rejected by any insurance company. They know that so instead they decided to bully me threatening action on my credit history which could be severely damaging just so they can collect maybe a few bucks.
4. On point 3, I tried to talk to the office manager after a less than productive conversation with Catherine, one of their employees whose only defense was "I'm just doing my job". I left a message for the office manager Stephanie, she never got back to me. Not only are they following an unethical collections policy. They weren't even willing to hold themselves accountable for their policy.
Now I ask you, do you want to trust your health to a company who so clearly put profit above their patients? A company who are so ruthless financially that they are willing to throw you to collections years after an event to make a dollar or two? I know I won't again. There was no care or love here.
Customers are a means to an end at this clinic, nothing more.
