  • Giving 'em five stars because I can't give 'em six. A Lakewood treasure, and a refreshing throwback to the hardware stores of yesteryear. Glenn and his staff are the best-- attentive and kind. Customer service is something that's lost across the spectrum of the retail market these days, but it's precisely what makes Lakewood Hardware so special. Lakewood Hardware knows exactly what you need when you walk in the door. Let me know if the staff at the big box stores remember your name when you walk in. These guys and gals know their stuff, and they freely pass on that knowledge. Think about it: most of the homes in this city are about 100 years old or older. From a retail perspective, it's their niche. There is no better place (perhaps anywhere) to get whatever you need... and if they don't have it, they'll get it for you.
