  • THE WORST PLEASE, PLEASE LOOK ELSEWHERE To begin I really wanted to like this place. After finding them on my health insurance providers list I was so happy because I am homebound and was in need of therapy and medication changes. The call hold times are awful and its hard to get a hold of anyone but I overlooked that because many therapists don't do house calls in my area. The trouble began when the bills started rolling in $900 here then $800 there I was so confused and scared. When I initially talked to both my insurance company and MD24 I was reassured it was covered and there would be a small copay for all visits. Cut to months of me calling my insurance and MD24 (with little response or call back from them because they don't care) I figured out that MD24 had been billing my insurance under a Dr that was out of network WHO I WAS NOT SEEING. Now let me be clear.. I cannot possibly be the only patient who has this well know insurance provider. I cant imagine how many poor patients they have scammed for more money. Only after informing MD24 that I had filed a complaint on their company through my insurance did they begin to resubmit claims under the correct doctor. I will add that every single person I spoke to in the billing department was snarky, rude, and awful every time we spoke. As someone with severe anxiety this was very hard to deal with and I became so afraid to speak to them I would have my husband call while he was working which was a huge inconvenience. When MD24 realized their mistakes they told us all those large bills they sent me were void and they would send new corrected ones once the claims were resubmitted to insurance. In the mean time I had run out of my anti anxiety and depression medications. After calling to try and get an appointment to get my prescriptions refilled the first 2 times I was told "we cannot provide care to you since you have a large balanced owed" WHAT?!?! After three calls of crying and begging them because I cannot go without these medications and don't have thousands of dollars to pay money I didn't really owe they finally said yes we will see you.. talking to the scheduler that same call they said "oh sorry the Dr doesn't come to the west side anymore she hated the drive" Me: "what am I supposed to do I'm homebound and cant go without these meds?" MD24 rep: "I don't know maybe go to an urgent care or something."  I haven't seen one of their doctors in months and it took them months to correct their mistakes. Please look elsewhere I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy!
